28 06 04 + 9 - 5 I can't believe I'm back
The weeks just flew by and dumped me back here for the pre-season friendlies ...
I have to say, being in Portugal for the football was amazing! Avoided
any trouble by simply not going to where it was going to kick off (hey,
I wanted to go to Portugal, not a warmer version of small town England!
- ooh you bitch-ed). Figueira da Foz is lovely, a Portuguese seaside
resort with a huge beach. We were at the far end of the bay in Buarcos
up a hill which afforded us a great view of the whole town, and a nice
huge balcony to sit on and look at it too. Everyone we met was really
nice - other countries supporters, English supporters - the ones who
were attending non-England games at least and especially the
Portuguese. The football was pretty good too!And the fish, well ...
It looks like NPS is ready for collection - I think Mark's really
excited! Also have a master for NYPP that apparently sounds great! Its
all happening so I should get on and put all the info up about NPS so
its up when the disk hits the streets, as they say.
It'll take me a while to get back into the swing of things - I really
got into the slower way of life holiday provides so its going to be
difficult for a few days. I felt the gloom settle as our flight into
London was held circling for 20 minutes - for the red arrows to fly
over Buck House apparently, bloody Queen - and the world got greyer and
greyer as we slowly sank through the clouds to rain-soaked Heathrow.
Still, the arch over Wembley looks really good as you fly past on final
approach!
