01 06 04 + 6 - 7 tuesday
..today i collect "masters "for oppos live and "north peckham skyline"...
and on wednesday we take everything to cd company for pressing etc ..........weve had a couple of problems BUT ...........(we shall see )...........started working on a new project over the weekend ...not sure what it will be ...just recording everything ...not really thinking "song" or whats it for .............with the oppos and so ..there where deadlines ...like your in the studio next month ....better write some songs .....( i think thats very good for me )...i like to work fast ..bursts of creative stuff ....and then 2 weeks later ....thinking well it could be better ,maybe i should start again ,they all sound the same etc etc ...my solo album "north peckham skyline" was recorded in bursts ...2 or 3 songs each time .............i like it because i always wanted to record something ...fast.simple (no overdubs..or very little)...almost no "editing"..ie verse should go here instrumental there .....i know some people will feel its not really finished ...but its what it is ..................ok my MUSIC LISTENING:..at the moment ....lambchop,john martyn,led zeppelin(the symbol album ..just bought it on cd )...ron sexsmith,elbow,doves..and blue nile (always )..bye

You only like the Blue Nile because it takes them longer to do an album than the Opposition! Still, it shows in the quality. Talking of which, I was having a train journey discussion about unpredictable artists, and we concluded that it has to be Mary Margaret O’Hara having released Miss America, that Xmas ep in the eighties and then nothing . Get home and google her to see what has happened and shes got a new album coming out! Not even the Oppos can beat that time between albums!
