Mastered by Steve Lyon

The Opposition were always a live band. Don't get me wrong, the recorded cannon is great but live, all the songs had just that little bit more. I remember hearing most of the tracks live before getting my hands on the vinyl anyway (yes, vinyl - it was the 80's remember!).

Its been quite a while since we've had the opportunity to experience an Opposition concert. Some very tatty and lets face it poorly recorded bootlegs are all we've had to remind us of the buzz those events gave us. An opportunity to put together a decent-sounding live cd was too much to pass up, so here it is!

We've scrabbled around looking for the best quality recordings we had, and pulled in some connections getting Stevie Lyons to re-master it. Its brought back some wonderful memories, and not a few embarrassing ones too, but more of that later...

Check out The Gallery and The Gallery 2 for loads of photos - on stage, off stage and between stages in 1 and the more formal in 2. A complete look at life on the road.

The wiki is there to bring together memories you may have of the Opposition live. You can add your stories to it (instructions on how to do it are there too - its really easy, honest!) and comment on the stuff thats already there. Did you see the band? Was it any good? What do you remember about it - add it here. Thanks go to Jean-Manuel Esnault for starting this all off and organising it to make sense.

The Press Box is full of old clippings and reviews from the time, or it will be when I get around to doing it!

Finally, do you have any bootlegs lying around? Why not share them with other Opposition fans. Register them on the wiki and we'll work out a way to do this.
